Hi there,
How are you?
I am well. Last month was relatively quiet, I did a couple of standup/alt comedy spots. These are opportunities for me to test material for Heavy Meta, my first hour-long show where I will not be dancing.
I am also pleased to share that Heavy Meta has been selected for the Amsterdam Fringe Festival, which will take place in September, a clear goal to work towards. But since this is a monthly newsletter that focuses on the month that just passed (March) and the one ahead (April), I will officially invite you to it in a later Crisletter. That said, if you want to mark your calendar already, you can. This year Amsterdam Fringe Festival period is 3-13 September.
Going back to April, I would like to invite you to the Premiere of Pleaser at Circusstad on Saturday, 2nd of May at Theater Rotterdam (it’s almost April). I will perform twice on that day and you can already get your ticket here. And let me know if you will be coming.
I’ll do a few other things in April, like a dance comedy session on the 23 of April and a test-run of Pleaser in my studio on 15 April. More info below.

I know this is in the past. I will do (did) 8min of material test, in a line up with 7 other comedians. I hope it will go well (I did go well and gave me nice data). Fun fact I wrote this on the 31st of March, knowing this will be sent somewhere after the 1st of April, so I don’t really know how this went. Inception meme.

It really helps me to have a test run before the show in May, as Pleaser will be longer, which means some parts are new and others have changed. A fun and bizarre night on the red boat with a very heterogenous audience with a very heterogenous amount of alcohol in their bloodstream. I was the closing comic and I enjoyed interacting with the crowd.

Another fun Italian Standup comedy night in a packed room, this time alongside us “local” Italian comedians, there were the comics from Rome Comedy Club, who came all the way from Rome to share their comedy.
Big Game Comedy

An hilarious Alt (alternative) comedy night, with a very nice and cozy audience, and a very fun line up of comedians, who dared to experiment new things and go out of their comfort zone. Very very funny and silly night.

I tested some material that needed to be tested and the test results were “This material in this way does not work, at least not for this audience”.
