Hi!

I'm writing this Crisletter on my way back from Milan. Last week I played Pleaser five evenings in a row during FringeMI, in a beautiful location called FACTORY Nolo. It was a special and intense experience, as it was the first time I performed a theater piece so close to the city where I grew up. I managed to connect with Italian artists and professionals, perform in front of my parents, relatives and friends, some of whom I hadn't seen in over a decade. I felt a lot of support from the Italian audience, and had many interesting conversations on the theme of the show. Thanks again to everyone who showed up!

June is going to be quieter, and this crisletter quite short. I'll focus on the writing of Heavy Meta, my next show, which I'll perform at the Amsterdam Fringe Festival in September.

I did 30 minutes of material from Heavy Meta. It was a very good run, and helpful to the show I am writing.

2-6 June, Nolo Factory during FringeMI, Milan

Playing five nights in a row allowed me to refine the show further. I was lucky to have Antonio Casonato operating the lights, a professional clown with over 25 years of experience. Every evening before the show we'd have a short exchange about what to try differently that night, which was invaluable and made every evening more fun and real. The show also got a bit longer from the Circusstad Premiere, with an extended dance middle-section.
